On Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Maple View Lodge, Athens; the former Helen Adeline Hanna at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Atkinson. Loving mother of Jayne Feig (David) and Charles Atkinson. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Charlene (Jeremy), Peter (Stacey), Bobby (Rachel) and Brandy; and by her great grandchildren Taylor, Avery, Emma and Isaac. Also survived by her sisters June Lewis and Margaret Goodfellow as well as by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Sparling and Florence (Reynolds) Hanna and by her brother Howard. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery (there will be no formal funeral service). In remembrance, donations to the Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville, where Helen was a student in her younger years, will be gratefully acknowledged.
