Helen Hitsman

At Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Garland Hitsman. Loving mother of Roger (Judy) Hitsman, Rev. Robin Hitsman, Ruth Mayer, Roxanne Lawson (Roger) and the late Garland Hitsman Jr. Cherished grandmother of Jason Hitsman, Jody Payne, Amanda MacDougall, Rob Mayer, Ryan Mayer, Mitchell Mayer, Joshua Hitsman, Zachary Hitsman, Jacob Hitsman, Tara Smith and the late Randy Payne; and great-grandmother of Tristan and Jasmine Payne, Dawson and Tyson Hitsman, Megyn MacDougall, Thomas, Harland and Lily Mayer, Jacob and Jenna Welsh and Venessa and Gwenth Smith. Also survived by her brother Orl Covill (Kathy) and sister Edith Salmon, sister-in-law Mildred Covill as well as by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Allan, Jim and Steve Covill, and by sister Nellie Noonan. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 am with interment at Maynard Cemetery. In remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
