Passed away peacefully at the St. Lawrence Lodge on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Hermien Pijl (nee Bade), at the age of 90 years. Wife of the late Aalzen Pijl and dear mother of Yvonne (Michael) Donovan, Renee (Andrew) Brunsting and Allan (Stephanie) Pyl. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Dear sister of Ada. She was predeceased by her grandson Shawn Pyl and by one brother and three sisters.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Hermien's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11 am at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Drive, Brockville. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bethel Christian Reformed Church or the Heritage Community Christian School will be gratefully acknowledged.
