<p>Entered into rest at the St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville, surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Hilda Jean (Gilmer) Langstaff, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Robert Langstaff and dear mother of Rodney (Susan) Langstaff, Deborah Langstaff (Kent Seabrooke) and Rick Langstaff (Starr). Hilda will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren Benjamin Brunette, Michael Brunette, Nicole Langstaff, Rebecca-Mae Langstaff, Shanley Langstaff, Joshua Langstaff and by her two great-grandchildren Kaiden and Tristan Brunette. Dear sister of Lilah Gilmer and sister-in-law Kay Gilmer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Samuel Edson Gilmer and Etta Ann (Thompson) and by her siblings Charlie Gilmer, Rev. Marion Gilmer, Gerald Gilmer, Kathleen Selleck, Freda Gilmer, Alton Gilmer, and Evelyn Bowbeer. Also predeceased by her sisters-in-law Lois McClintock-Dulmage and Jean Gilmer, her brothers-in-law Charles Bowbeer and Garnet Selleck, her nieces Doreen Cook and Donna Byrd, and her nephews Robert McClintock and Ron Gilmer.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends may pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Rd. 15, Maitland on Thursday, September 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A ceremony celebrating Hilda's life will be held on Friday, September 8th at 11:00 am at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn with Rev. Claude Delorme officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. James Anglican Church or a Charity of Choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
