Crawford, John Gordon

Peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the age of 94 years at Extendicare Nursing Home in Kingston. Gordon was a longtime resident of Brockville Prior to moving to Kingston; Gordon was a WWII Veteran; a Life Member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. No. 96 as well a Past Poppy Chairman. Both he and his late wife Dorothy moved to Brockville in the 1960's. He was Manager of Manpower and Immigration with the Federal Government. Dorothy predeceased him in 2008.

He is survived by three daughters and one son Elizabethann (Hans) Van Helden of Brockville, Brenda (Bob) Grawberger of Roblin, Gordon (Laura) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida and Wendy of Brockville.

A graveside service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Kingston at a later date. In lieu of flowers in memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville.
