<p>Gifford, James </p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully at his residence on May 17th 2014 at the age 77 years. Husband of the late Eleanor (nee Reid) and dear father of Tim Gifford (Julie Spicer). Loving grandfather of Christina McParlan (Ryan), Nicole Larocque (Sean), Zachary Gifford, Tayler, Bailey, Dayne Gifford, and Jaime Lynn Bailey. Also survived by his great grandchildren Jacob and Jordyn Jensen, Gracie and Breanna Larocque, as well as his son-in-law Gerald McParlan. Brother of Larry and his wife Gail. Fondly remembered by his special friend Thelma McParlan. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his children Rick Gifford and Debbie McParlan and by his parents Marjorie and Gerald Gifford.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8.30 pm. A ceremony celebrating Jimmy's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 10 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
