<p>James Wesley Lowry of Prescott, formerly of Ottawa, passed away peacefully in hospital on Monday, January 26, 2015 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Sharlene "Susie" (Baker) Lowry and dear father of Christine Lowry and Kelly (Jon) Ostrander. Loving grandfather of Logan, Jarrett and Alexis Shannon; Seth Benoit and Jakob and Owen Ostrander. Brother of Marlene (Dale) Greene and Grant Lowry. Dear son-in-law of Helen Marguerite Baker and brother-in-law of Arthur (Linda), Robert (Sharon), Mark, Toni and Carl (Lucy) Baker. He also leaves many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father George Eldon; mother Marguerite Jean; brother Donald; father-in-law George Arthur Baker; sisters-in-law Linda and Debby and by brother-in-law Bert Baker.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends will gather at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Thursday from 9:30 - 11:00 am. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 97, Prescott will hold a Veteran's Memorial Service on Thursday at 9:30 am. A celebration of Jim's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 am. Interment and reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers, would be gratefully acknowledged.
