<p>Parker, Jane</p><p>1930 - 2017</p><p><br></p><p>Jane passed away peacefully at her home in Brockville surrounded by family and friends on Friday, January 27, 2017. Jane was born May 23, 1930 in Oswego, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Art Jr., sons David and Art III. Jane is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Marge, son John (Kathy), sister in law, Meribeth Honors, daughter in law, Lisa, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, her dear friends and house mates, Carol and Norville Barnes, Ken and Beth MacNeil and a large community of loving friends near and far. </p><p><br></p><p>Jane lived a full life raising a family of four, working and caring for her disabled husband until his death in 1972. She was an astute business woman working in the insurance industry most of her professional life. Hearing God calling her to live in community she moved to the Community of Jesus on Cape Cod in 1980 and later to Grenville Christian College in Brockville where she lived for many years. Jane was an avid reader especially enjoying mystery novels and spiritual writings. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit several areas of the world. Jane was a passionate Blue Jays fan, enjoyed a serious game of bridge and was skilled at quilting. The family would like to thank the nursing staff from Bayshore Home Health and Care Partners for their loving care of our mother in her last days. </p><p><br></p><p>A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 66 Church St. Brockville on Saturday February 4th at 10 am; with a reception to follow at Jane's home 1131 Irace Dr. Brockville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Francis Xavier Church, Brockville, ON. Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
