On Sunday, January 31, 2010, after a brief illness, at the Ottawa General Hospital; the former Mary Regina (Jeannie) Burns of Maitland at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Moore. Loved sister of Ted Burns (Kay) of R.R. 3 Prescott, Patrick Burns (Carolyn) of Gravenhurst, Bernard Burns (Carol) of Fergus, Irene Ryan of Toronto and Noreen Williams of California. Predeceased by her parents, John and Alice (Nagle) Burns, by her brothers Gerald and Bob Burns and by her sister Helen Hall as well as by her special friend and fiance Neil Raven. Jeannie is also survived by sisters-in-law Marjorie Moore, Louise Moore, Jean Burns and Helen Burns, by a brother-in-law Gary Hall; and by many nieces and nephews including Vince Moore, Brian and Darlene Burns, Ron and Lisa Burns, Bill and Susan Brus, John and Joan Burns, Tom Burns, Carol Anne and Tom Brandow, Randy and Joanne Hall, Joanne Ryan, and special cousins Evelyn Kinch and Norah Morton. Fondly remembered by special friends Ruth Kenney, Margaret Jackson, Murial Jones and Eileen McDonell. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
