At the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, on Friday, June 15, 2012; Joan Elaine Duffy (nee Shaw) of Brockville at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of Edward Duffy and loving mother of Michael (Heather), David (Penny), Nancy, and Kevin (Heather). Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law Bryan Duffy and George Watson (Verlie) as well as by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Ida and step father Charles Tarbuck. Family and close friends are invited to a reception in honour of Joan's life from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 22nd at the Irvine Reception Centre at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 Maitland Road. A private family service and interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
