Entered into rest at the St. Lawrence Lodge on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Edith (McGowan) Sheahan and cherished father of Pat (Lee), Maureen (Terry Cattani), Michael (Grace), Charles, Rosemary (Gary Pidhirny), Timothy (Ann), Terry (Heather) and Sheila (Marc Lefebvre). Loving grandfather of Ryan, Erin, Devan, Connor, Shannon, Kimberly, Patrick, Meagan, Daniel, Justin, Tyler, Kyle, Brendan, Bria and Colleen. Dear brother of Teresa Cassidy (John deceased). Also survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Sheahan and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Katherine (Neville) and Michael Sheahan; brothers Harold and Frank and by sisters Rita Neville and Genevieve Agnew.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 am followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 96 will gather for a Veterans memorial Wednesday at 6:45 pm. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 1049 will gather for fraternal prayers on Wednesday at 8:15 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation or the St. Lawrence Lodge Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.
