passed away December 2, 2016 at the Brockville General Hospital, age 90 years. Born in Poole, Dorset, England, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Hayward. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Leslie Eligh, and her beloved daughter, Robin Littlejohn. Surviving are her sons, Ed (Linda) Eligh, Strathclair, Manitoba, Garth (Paula) Eligh, Pictou, Nova Scotia, cherished niece and caregiver, MaryAnn (Gary) Smith, Algonquin, Ontario, grandchildren, Frank (Lian) Eligh, Sandra Eligh, Stephanie Eligh, Troy (Laura Spiers) Eligh, Morgan (Doug) Brown. Several nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. Joyce was a great lover of animals and a long-time supporter of the SPCA. A stalwart volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, she was honoured for her many years of providing knitted goods for their clientele.

Funeral service will be held at the Irvine Funeral Chapel, 4 James St., E., Brockville on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to the local SPCA in your community.
