passed away at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday March 28th 2021 at the age of 90 years.

Survived by her son John of Brockville, daughter Pamela Minuk of Winnipeg as well as four granddaughters, Laura, Ainsley, Erin and Melissa. She is also survived by a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Jack as well as well as her parents Wilfred C. Green and Stella nee Gallagher and by one brother, Billy.

Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick Joyce graduated from the Charlotte County Hospital Nursing program in 1952 and working there upon graduation. Joyce moved to Saint John working at their general hospital until she and Jack moved to Brockville in 1956.

She worked briefly at the Brockville General Hospital before starting at the old Ontario Hospital as it was called then in February of 1957. Working there for five years part time and started their full time in 1962 and took the position of head nurse in 1973 until retiring in 1992.

Joyce loved to read, do crossword puzzles, charity work, bake pies, play bingo occasionally and most importantly spend as much time with her grandchildren as she could.

Donations to the Wall Street United Church Benevolent Fund or to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care unit will be gratefully acknowledged

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Joyce's life will be held at a later date.
