Peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 2, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Shirley Luella (VanDusen) for 63 years. Loving father of Sue (Mike Carr) of Ottawa, Chris (Kim Hall) of Brockville, Catherine (Gunther Feth) of Brockville, and Margaret (Lorne Edmonds) of Ottawa. Proud "Bumpa" of Stephen Carr (Shannon), Christine Carr, Katie (Nolan) Steenson (Matt), Ally Carr, Johnny Nolan (Stephanie), Jeffrey Nolan, Nicole Hall, Charlotte Nolan, Kyle Hall III, Emily Edmonds, Eric Hall, Noah Edmonds and Sydney Hall ; Great "Bumpa" to Emmett Carr. Survived by his younger sister Mary Marrs (late George) of Toronto, and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, March 7th from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Officers and Members of Lyn Masonic Lodge No. 416 will gather on Monday at 6:45pm for a memorial service. The Funeral Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. A Service of Committal and a Reception will follow at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, to which all are invited. Interment in the spring at St. James Cemetery, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society , Brockville and District Palliative Care or charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
