Lawrence Albert Joseph Secord Obituary

Secord, Lawrence Albert Joseph

Passed away at Brockville General Hospital on Monday, March 17, 2014, at the age of 74. Lawrence is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Florence Secord. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice (nee Chant). They were married in Brockville on June 23, 1962. Lawrence is lovingly remembered by his wife Alice, sister Lucille (Ed), sons Michael and Randy and daughter, Connie Benoit (Ray Heffernan). He is also survived by "grandpa’s girls", Amanda and Emily and by the grandchildren he lovingly inherited Josh, Seth and Faith Heffernan; as well as several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.

Lawrence was a simple man, devoted to his wife and family. His granddaughters were the world to him and he will always be with them. Always having a kind word for anyone he meets, he would easily give the shirt off his back for a stranger.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4-7 pm and Saturday after 10am. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 am. The family requests donations in his memory be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Send condolences, make a donation or share a special thought of Lawrence online at www.irvinememorial.com.
