<p>Leonard, Lila (nee Cole)</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully with family by her side at her residence on Friday, May 27th 2016 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Bert Leonard, mother of Michael Leonard (Patricia), Donna Haycock (Steve), Timothy Leonard (Paula) and Peter Leonard (Tammy). Grandmother of Ryan, Lee (Holly), Sarah (Adam), Scott, Grace, Anna, Kirk and Sean. Great grandmother of Benjamin, Lily, Oliver and Violet. She was predeceased by her parents Mortimer and Dolly (Brown) Cole, son Larry Leonard and grandson Eric Haycock. Also predeceased by her siblings (Stanley Cole, Gladys Brontmire, Grace Salmon, Doris Kluke, Doreen Bertrand, and Jennie McNish). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Lila was well known in the Brockville and surrounding communities for her love of life, laughter, music and playing cards. Her spirit, determination and incredible sense of humour will be sadly missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home at Roselawn, 2451 County Rd. 15, Maitland, ON from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, June 2nd. A ceremony celebrating Lila's life will be held at 11:00 am on June 3rd at the Chapel with her nephew, Minister Bruce Salmon officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or Brockville Hospital Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
