Lillian Clappison

Peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on Saturday, July 11, 2009 in hospital, Brockville, in her 80th year. Daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Verna) Dixon and predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Clappison as well as by her loving daughter Nancy Kaarto. Lillian is survived by her three cherished granddaughters, Pamela Nott of Scarborough, Tracy (Don Tait) of Oshawa, and Lori (Jeff Salter) of Whitby; and by her great grandchildren, Wesley, Hayden, Preston, Logan and Keira. She is also survived by sisters Roberta Peters, June Moan (Roger) and Mary Jobson (Jerry); by brothers Douglas Dixon (Mary), John Dixon and Burton Dixon (Joan); by sisters-in-law Frances, Isabel and Deltra Dixon and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Pamela Cardinal and Ruby Connelly, and by brothers Rev. Thomas Dixon, Harold and Charles Dixon. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. In celebration of Lillian’s life, a ceremony will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a gathering in the Irvine Reception Centre. Cremation will take place at Roselawn Crematorium with interment at Manhard Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
