Shorey, Linda Mary Sue

Entered into rest in her 78th year, after a lengthy battle with chronic heart and kidney disease at the Ottawa General Hospital on July 2, 2017, with all her family by her side. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to the west coast to visit her daughter and family in Alberta and BC. She loved everyone and we were blessed to have her in our lives. She now joins her husband William Russell Shorey in heaven.

She is survived by her beloved children Terrie Shorey, Sue Letch (Al), Tom Shorey (Marina), Cathy Easter (Tim), granddaughters Kelly (Chad), Lisa (Roy), Billie (Mike), Kristyna, Ann, Jaimie, Kristen, grandsons Isaac (Meagan), Mitch, Riley, Robert, great grandchildren Brooke, Madison, Emily, Cadence, Noah, Julian, Gauge, Mya, Olivia, Caleb and Sara. Sisters Marilyn Carew, Lynn Roberts and Sandi MacDonald (Parker), sister in law Barb Healy and brothers in law Harold Healy and John Shorey. Besides her husband, Linda was predeceased by her parents Vera and Robert McCready, sister Donna Bodner, Virginia Chartier, brothers Vandenburg McCready and Guy Fines and brothers in law Roy Bodner, Elmer Carew, and sister in law Evangeline McCready. Much loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Linda's life will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 7th at 11 am with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation or to Harvest House Ottawa will be gratefully acknowledged.
