<p>Millward, Lyle Carson</p><p><br></p><p>Served in the Merchant Navy August 22 1944 - May 21 1946; Served on the Reserves November 13 1947 - March 31, 1949</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Saturday, January 16th 2016. Lyle Carson Millward, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Sheila Millward (nee VanAllen) and dear father of Daniel (Alice) Millward, Timothy (Maria) Millward and grandfather to Alison, Aaron and Mark. Also survived by two sisters Dorothy Casselman, Mary McVey (Gordon). Brother-in-law of Fiona St.Pierre (Duane), Sharon Stoddart, Susan Tuttle and Jim Tuttle (Isabel). Lyle was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Gorey Millward and by a brother Lloyd Millward.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Lyle's life will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Irvine Funeral Chapel, Brockville . Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96, will gather for a memorial service on Wednesday evening at 5:45 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
