TAYLOR, Margaret Lawson "Margo" (nee Abra) born March 31st 1920 in Ottawa, Ontario, died March 9, 2009 in Brockville. Loving wife of 63 years to Walter Taylor; beloved mother of Douglas (Kim), Bill (Dalia) and Barbara (Ted). Predeceased by daughter Nancy in 1975 at age 21.Loving Grandma to Mike and Alex; Matthew, Rosalie and Jeremy; Victoria, Geoffrey, Stephen and Susanne. Predeceased by three brothers: W.W. (Bill) Abra, J.S. (Jim) Abra, and R.H. (Bob) Abra. Survived by two sisters-in-law, Jean Abra of Ottawa, and Margaret Cloke of Toronto. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Margo lived most of her life in Ottawa and was actively involved in Bromley Road Baptist Church (formerly Highland Park Baptist). A solo performer in piano, and an Associate of the Toronto Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto (1940), Margo used her talent to teach and give pleasure to others. She was an Honorary Member of the Harmelodic Music Club of Ottawa, and Life Member of the Baptists Women's Missionary Societies of Canada. Following the move to Brockville in 1984, Margo and Walt made many new friends at First Baptist Church, the Newcomers Club of Brockville, and the Brockville Golf and Country Club. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville from Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday from 11am until 12 noon when services will be held in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Services and/or First Baptist Church, Brockville Ontario.
