<p>Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. Marilyn Joan (Halfpenny) Taylor, at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of Thomas Taylor and the late Alfred Rice, dear mother of Dean Rice (Lesley), Kerry Emmons (Mark Kelly) and Wendy Martin (Robert). Fondly remembered by her six grandchildren Hilary, Matthew, Jordan, Riley, Braxton and Rhys by her two stepchildren Scott and Andrea Taylor-Cote (Claude) and two step grandchildren Claudia and Dominique. Sister of Kevin (Anne Marie), and Wayne (Fran) Halfpenny, Sandra Anderson (Bob), Gail Jodoin (Doug), Carol Rooney and Betty Winford (Bob Burns). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Vera and Clifford Halfpenny and by sisters Shirley Buffett (Don survives), June Mielke and by brothers Gerry, Bill and Donald Halfpenny.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, OCTOBER 14th from 11 am until 1pm a ceremony celebrating Marilyn's life will be held at 1:00 PM at Irvine Funeral Home 4 James St. E.
