Vanden Dam, Maria (Mary)

Passed away peacefully at her home, Providence Manor in Kingston on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the age of 87 years. Dear daughter of the late Wilhelmina (Van Dun) and Johannes de Groot and beloved wife of the late Leonardus (Leo) Vanden Dam. Cherished mother of Frank Vanden Dam (Donna), Cecilia Koebel (David), Paul (Lesley) and Leona Vanden Dam (James Close). Fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Loving sister of Lia Richards (John), Archie de Groot and Margriet Hanna (Garry) and sister-in-law to Judy de Groot. Predeceased by 2 infant children; 4 brothers Johannes, Cornelis, Hans and Nick de Groot (Pat); her niece Kristin Hanna; her nephew David de Groot and by her great nephew David de Groot Jr.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 3-6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10 am followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cardinal. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis Xavier Church, the Providence Manor or to the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
