Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Monday, July 2, 2018, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Janet (Empey) Code and cherished father of Lori McIlvenna (Mike), Christina Caicco (Andy) and Brad Code (Rhonda). Fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren; by his sister Marion Finnis (Lorne) and by his brothers Gary Code (Mickie) and Wayne Code (Cora). Predeceased by brothers Clarence Code and Art Pepper and by his parents Allan and Bessie (Pepper) Code.

Family and friends are invited to a service in celebration of Merrill's life at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 4 pm followed by a reception.
