Michael Joseph Hanley
<p>After a courageous battle with cancer, long-time and beloved Brockville resident, Michael Joseph Peter Hanley Sr., passed away on Friday, December 11th 2015, at the age of 76. </p><p>Mike is survived by his loving son and daughter, Michael (Jo-Anne) Hanley Jr. and Laura (Harold) Roobol, both of the Brockville area. He leaves behind three devoted grandchildren Sarah (Derek Hiltz) Hanley of Ottawa, Michael (Ramona) Hanley III of Toronto and Meghan (Thomas Mackey) Roobol of the Brockville area. He also leaves behind two great-granddaughters Sidney Hanley-Rose and Myriam Hanley. He will also be fondly remembered by his special friend Diane Towe.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville. The celebration of the Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 17th at St. Francis Xavier Church, 66 Church St., Brockville at 10am. Reception to follow after the funeral at the Irvine Funeral Home Reception Centre.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the Kingston General Hospital Cancer Clinic or the Leeds and Grenville (Brockville) SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family. </p><p><br></p>Obituary
