<p>We sadly say farewell to our beloved Nancy (Stayner) Earl, who passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the age of 85. She leaves behind her cherished daughter Lynda. Nancy spent her days enjoying boating, gardening and the warm summer days on the St. Lawrence River. She loved a good book and meeting new friends, including those she met when RVing with her late husband and their dog Westley. Nancy was a Girl Guide Leader for 30 years before she hung up her uniform. She spent the last two years at Wedgewood Retirement Home in Brockville. Her laugh and smile will be sadly missed by all who met her. She was predeceased by her husband Mervyn and son David. </p><p><br></p><p>I would like to thank Wedgewood staff for kindness they have shown my mom over the last two years and would to thank the staff at BGH for the care they gave to my mom. I would also like to thank Irvine Funeral Home for their care when my father, Mervyn, passed away in March 2017 and for the care of my mother, Nancy.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held in the chapel on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11 am followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully appreciated.
