Passed away peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, June 30th, 2013, Norman Herbert Young, at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Bennett). Loving father of Susan Martelle (Archie Jr.) of Iroquois, Sandra Timmerman (Norm) of Brockville, and Robert Young (Ann) of Windsor. Cherished grandfather of Scott Lacroix, Tammy Lacroix, Karie Smail (Brian), Michael Timmerman (Marissa), Amanda Young (Mark Weber) and Bennett Young (Julie); and great grandfather of Dennis, Emalee, Anson, Blake, Elizabeth, Gwendolyn, Adelaine and Sophia. Dear brother of Joyce Beaudrie of Picton, and Gaye Potter (Bill) of Brockville; and brother-in-law of Doug Bennett (Vivian), Bob Bennett (Martha), Bill Bennett (Gwen), Ray Bennett (Jenette), George Bennett (Freda), Pat Thompson (Earl) and Evelyn Bennett. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Christina Timmerman and brothers and sisters-in-law Frank Beaudrie, Don and Barbara Bennett, Mike Bennett and Irene Van Kalden Kirken.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Wednesday, July 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A ceremony celebrating Norman's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, July 4th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Oakland Cemetery.
