At Brockville General Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Cairns) Duncan. Loving father of David (Christina) and Terry (Laura). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Elizabeth (Benjamin), Andrew (Kim), Thomas and Katie and by great granddaughters Lillian-Grace and Abbigale. Dear brother of Horace Duncan (Dorothy), Marion Hudson (the late Tom) and Alma Clark (the late Joe), and brother-in-law of Lorne Cairns (Jennie), and Dorothy Cameron. Predeceased by his brothers Edgar Duncan, Archibald and Reginald Cameron (Edie). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday, June 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thence to First Presbyterian Church for visitation on Tuesday, June 3rd from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. when a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held. A reception will follow in the church hall and interment will take place at White Lake Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. In remembrance, memorial donations to First Presbyterian Church or to the Ottawa Heart Institute will be gratefully acknowledged.
