At Brockville General Hospital on October 4, 2010 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Ruth of Elizabethtown, and dear father of Barbara Fortier and her husband Gaetan of Maitland. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Julie Baier of Germany. Robert's life's work was as a watch and clock maker. After his daughter and son-in-law established the Heritage Clock Shop, he and his wife made Brockville their home, and Robert enjoyed spending time along side Barbara and Gaetan in their shop. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at Barbara and Gaetan's home, 2 Jones Court, Maitland, on Friday evening, October 8th, from 6-8 p.m. Private cremation will take place at Roselawn with arrangements entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. In remembrance, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
