Passed away peacefully in Kingston General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on May 4th, 2016 in his 64th year. Dearly loved and devoted husband and best friend of Sandra Balch. Loving Dad of Lindsay (Brent Westerink). Survived by sister, Susan Lawton, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Murray and Pam Robinson, nieces Hilary, Jennifer, Amanda, Victoria and nephew Blair. Born in Forres, Scotland, he is predeceased by his parents, Eric and Joan Balch. Robin retired from Hydro One after 35 years of service. His enjoyment in life was found in his family, sports, reading, gardening and successfully completing his dream home on The Big Rideau. Robin’s strength, compassion and devotion will be greatly missed by his family, friends and loyal Yorkie Bailey.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 11 am - 1 pm. A service in celebration of Robin`s life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 1 pm followed by interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged.
