Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Ronald Gordon Wardle of Brockville and formerly of South Mountain, at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Helen M. Smith of Brockville and the late Barbara Donovan. Dear father of Ted Wardle (Ann), Wendy Fowler (Tracy) and Jerry Wardle (Lorna). Loving grandfather of Cindy Loynachan (Reid), Jennifer Stricker (Kevin), Jami, Joshua and Julie Wardle, Breckyn and Jessie Fowler, Christopher Sullivan and Kerissa and Shelby Wardle. Great grandfather of Brycen, Isabella, Alexina and Noah. Also survived by his brother Ray Wardle (Mabel); his sister Debbie Boal (Ross); his daughter-in-law Brenda Wardle; his sisters-in-law Carole Wardle and Irene Mueller; Helen's daughter Mary Belanger (Frank) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Wayne, brothers Lloyd (Judy), Doug and Christopher "Chum" and his sister Rhonda.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm & Friday, November 21st from 9:30 until 11:00 am at St. Daniel the Martyr Catholic Church, 10606 Maple St., South Mountain where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Donations to the Charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1049 will gather at the funeral home for Fraternal Prayers on Thursday evening at 6:45 pm.
