Peacefully in hospital surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, July 7th, 2009; Ross Edward LaBelle at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband for sixty-two years of Lyla (Grice) LaBelle. Loving father of Judy Einfeldt and her husband Rudi, Linda Howe and husband Brian Heaton, Robert LaBelle, Art LaBelle and his wife Mary Ellen Major and predeceased by two sons, Eddy and Larry whose wife Nancy survives. Dearly loved Poppa of granddhildren and and great grandchildren Erin, Amanda and Mariah; Nikki, her husband John and their daughter Hannah; Rudi Jr. and his wife Chacity; Julie, her husband Al and children Ainsley, Craig and Kaitlyn; Trisha, her husband Jamie and their children Kayleigh and Mitchell; Jesse and his daughter Jada; and Saydie Thomson. Also survived by his sisters Isobel Frizzel of London, and Ann Walton and her husband Herb of Burlington, as well as by several nieces and nephews. To honour the wishes of Ross, a private family service was held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, July 9th. Cremation followed at Roselawn Crematorium. In remembrance, donations to the C. N. I. B. or to Brockville District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
