On the morning of Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at the Brockville General Hospital, G.S.S.; Sarah Jean Dorothy (Everett) Farrow, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of Arthur C. Farrow and loving mother of Robert Farrow (Catherine Vandenbelt) of Whitby, James Farrow (Deborah) of Ottawa and Mary Halligan (Ralph) of Kingston. Cherished grandmother of Trevor & Cameron Farrow, Scott & Alex Hunt, Benjamin & Jonathan Farrow and Curtis & Sydney Halligan. Dear sister of Perry Everett (Donalda) of Smiths Falls, Margaret Peacock of Belleville. Predeceased by her parents, James S. and Mae Mina (Ellis) Everett, and by her sisters Ardith Leslie and Mary Hobson. Prior to retirement, Jean was employed at BCIVS in the Guidance Department, as well as being active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over fifty years. She and Arthur had been active members of the Trident Yacht Club and St. John's United Church. They recently moved from the Four Winds Apartment to the Wedgewood Retirement Residence. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A ceremony in celebration of Jean's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday October 26th at 11am . Cremation will follow at Roselawn with private interment at Iroquois Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's United Church, or the Brockville and District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged. Members of the Beta Sigma Phi will gather at the funeral home on Sunday evening for a memorial service at 6.30 pm.
