Sean Thompson Brockville, Ontario Obituary

Sean Thompson

After a brief and valiant journey with cancer, Sean died peacefully as he lived with courage, dignity and grace at age 43. He accepted his prognosis and he chose to live his last days at The Foothills Country Hospice, in Okotoks, AB, with the compassionate care of his Hospice family team. Surrounded by the love of his family, his parents Sandra and Ronald J. Thompson, his brothers Timothy Kevin (Lori), Daniel Jeffrey (Samantha), and his sister Leslie-Ellen (Steve). Sean leaves two “very special nephews”, Tyson Kaye and Benjamin Ronald Thompson. He will be missed by his aunts Carole Bishop (Ron), Marlene Elkas (Sam), Janice Hayes and Helena Crook (Richard). He was also supported by the love of many cousins and their families. The void he leaves in our hearts will be filled with so many happy memories. He will continue to be a huge part of our family life forever. Sean’s life revolved around his family and his loyal friends. Sean’s strong welcoming spirit inspired all of us to be better people, and to honour him, we will strive to that end. A celebration of Sean’s life will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Brockville, Ontario on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., following which there will be a reception at the Keystorm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foothills Country Hospice, Box 274, Okotoks, Alberta, T1S 1A5, www.countryhospice.org . The Irvine family and staff are honoured to assist the Thompson family with local arrangements in Brockville.
