Born and raised in Carleton Place, ON, Sharon moved to Brockville and worked at BGH for many years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts and family gatherings. Our Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the age of 78 years. Daughter of the late Lesina Ivon (Sadler) Lancaster (died 1953) of Almonte, and the late Raymond Clark Lancaster (died 1967) of Carleton Place. Sadly missed by William (Bill) Durant of Brockville and by her children Pat Durant-Plumley (Nick) of Mallorytown, Karen Durant of Brockville, Bill Durant of Brockville, Michael (Jo-Anne) Durant of Mallorytown, Dennis Durant of Mallorytown, Mary Ann (Shawn) Chase of Brockville and Penny Durant of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Richard (Nicole) Durant, Gary (Caroline) Scarfe, Ginger (Robert) Barkley, Anthony Chapman, Billy Durant (Sarah), Any (Derek) Durant, Ashley Durant, Allen Durant (Becky), Kim Durant (Blake), Michelle Durant (Dustin), Dennis Myers, Dennielle Durant, Dawn (Kevin) Neadow and Angel. Also survived by 16 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Glenda (Wayne) Conley of Carleton Place, Donna Patricia Blair of Brockville and Christine Ann Lancaster of Carleton Place. Predeceased by a daughter Eileen Mary Katherine Durant and by sisters Diann Lyn Herron (died 1995) of Carleton Place and Judith Mary Blaedow (died 2006). Following cremation at Roselawn, a private family celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Bayshore Home Health Care or Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged.
