Passed away at her home in Johnstown on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the age of 58 years. Shirley was born in Brockville on December 16, 1950 to Irene (Drawbridge) Darling and the late Lyle Darling. She is survived by her mother Irene; her devoted husband Gordon Curtis and their children Greg (Laurie), Brian Curtis, Christina (Derek) and Cathy (Terry). Loving grandma to Diana, Brooke, Carter and McKenzie. Predeceased by her father Lyle and by a brother Ronnie. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A private family gathering and service will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, April 30, 2009 followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
