<p>Tanney, Shirley </p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Saturday, June 20th 2015. Shirley Marie Tanney, at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Orval Tanney Sr. Dear mother of Orval Tanney Jr. (Pam), Penny Burnham (Terry), Wendy Newans (John), Shawn Tanney (Christine) and Diana Bean (Johnnie). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Ford, Trisha, Paige (Joe), Tyler, Sarah, Scott, Austin, Harley, Jordan and Devon as well as two great grandchildren Malcolm and Mila. Sister of Robert Mathieson. Shirley was predeceased by her four grandchildren Lindsay, Jeremy, Jeffrey and Lucas, her daughter-in-law Patricia. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Leo Mathieson and by a brother Gerry.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A ceremony celebrating Shirley's life will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Irvine Funeral Chapel, Brockville with interment and reception to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
