Peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Loving wife of the late Charles Eldridge. Dear mother of Ruth Sargent of R.R. 5 Brockville, Ron (Diane) of R.R. 2 Lyn, Larry (Cathy) of Fort Frances, Ont. and David (Joe) of Brampton. Also survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and by her sister-in-law, Shirley Richmond. Predeceased by a daughter, Elaine Gerow, by sons-in-law Albert Sargent and Lyle Hurlbert, a grandson Kevin Sargent and also by her twin brother, Bill Richmond and sisters Anne Ronald and Mary Dowling. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, October 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
