Dawson, Violet

Peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge on September 27, 2012, the former Violet Blanche Day at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late George Albert Dawson who predeceased her in 1996. Loving mother of Rebecca Ferguson (Garry), Georgina Worden (Frank), Donna Irish (Ralph) , Karen Cole (Ernie), Fred (Jeanette), Margaret Wilson (Don Spracklin), Jim, Nancy Dawson (Larry Dixon) and John (Steacy). Cherished grandmother of 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Janice Gonczowski (husband Roman survives), her grandsons Terry Gonczowski and his brother in infancy,her son-in-law Bob Wilson and her sister Florence Brown (Roy). Family and friends may pay their respects at the IRVINE MEMORIAL CHAPEL AT ROSELAWN, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Violet''s life will take place in the Chapel on Monday October 1st at 11 am. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Lord''s Mills. In remembrance, donations to Lord''s Mills Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
