<p>Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Thursday, January 18, 2018. William Jack "Bill" Roper, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Carole Roper (Furness). Survived by his children, Denise Battaglia (John) and Daniel "Dan" Roper. Also survived by his stepchildren, Gregg Pearson (Bethie) and Scott Pearson. Dearly missed by his grandchildren, Angela, Christina, Matthew, Michael, Ryan, and Damian, as well as by his great-grandchildren, Grace, Julia, Luca, and Jacob. Remembered by his brother, Raymond (Lynda) and sister, Valerie (Rodney). He was predeceased by his parents, Violet (Thomson) and Wilfred Roper.</p><p><br></p><p>A private family celebration of life will take place with arrangements entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation; Palliative Care or Alzheimer Society; Lanark, Leeds, Grenville branch will be gratefully acknowledged.
