Easton, William Ross

NAVY RETIRED

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the age of 81 years. He was visited by many loving family and friends. Beloved husband of Gertrude Brown. Dear father of Therese Brown and Peter Brown (Lauri). Brother of James Lake and Thomas Lake (Janet). Also survived by his sister-in-law Gail Easton as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Anne Neville and by brothers Donald and Edward Easton. Mr. Easton enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy in February 1949 and served around the world. He was Honourably Discharged as Chief Petty Officer in May 1974. Following retirement, Mr. Easton worked for short periods at Philips Cable and Ross Laboratories. Private arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Cremation has taken place at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
