Suddenly at his home in Brockville on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Johnston). Loving father of Dale (Rosemarie), the late James Logan (Astrid) who predeceased him this past September, and Jeff (Tammy). Cherished grandfather of Paul, Steven, Stephanie (Dave), Jennifer (Shawn), David (Olivia), Christopher, Ashley and Erica and great-grandfather of Jorja, Charlotte, Colin, Emerson and Julianna. Fondly remembered by Wendy. Bill was the brother-in-law of the late Ralph Johnston and Lorna Johnston, the late Omer and Marion Johnston, Alan and Sheila Johnston, Wilma and the late William Simpson, the late David Johnston and Myrtle Johnston, the late George and Verla Johnston and Noreen and Bill Foan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his parents George Colin and Alice Hilda (nee James) Logan.


Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, January 15th from 6 - 8 p.m. and after 12 noon on Saturday. A ceremony celebrating Bill's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 16th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Irvine Reception Centre. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society or Brockville and District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
