Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the age of 92 years.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Marie Lundy (nee Kennedy) who predeceased him in 2013. Honoured father of David (Laura), Robbie (Mavis) and Stephen (Carolyn). Cherished grandfather of William, Hailee and Keeden; Cullen and Colina; Raine, Charlotte and Marigold. Also survived by brother-in-law Stewart Hunter. Predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Daisy (Knapp) Lundy, his sisters Madeline, Marvel and Zelda Mae, and brothers Arnold, and Everett.

Born and raised in North Augusta, he was a lifelong resident of the Brockville area. For most of Carl’s 39 year career at Ontario Hydro, he could be found up a hydro pole, in any weather and at all times of the day or night, bringing electricity to residents. Carl was a man who lived his life with a passion for hard work, ingenuity and sincerity. An avid handyman - there was nothing he couldn’t build or fix.

If it can ever be said of anyone, our father, Carl, and our mother, Marie, lived their lives dedicated to each other, to family, friends and enjoying life. They travelled together extensively throughout Canada, the U.S and Europe. Quick with a laugh, ready for a joke- dancing, camping, snowmobiling, boating, and water skiing are just some of the wonderful bequeathed memories and the true wealth of experience and example that he has left for his children, grandchildren, and all who knew him. We loved him. We will truly miss him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at IRVINE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Wednesday, May 30th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 31st from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Bishop's Mills Cemetery. Memorial donations to Parkinson’s Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
