With heavy hearts we announce the passing of the matriarch of our family, Marjorie Robbins (nee Hobson) on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in her 96th year. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Philip Robbins (1992) and her brother James (Isabel) Taggart and sister Irene (Ken) Wilmer. Marjorie is survived by her children, William (Karen); Charles, Nancy (Jerry), Linda, David (Maribeth) and Louise (Randall); her grandchildren Jeremy, Kim (Sarkis), Anne-Marie (Jeffory), Amanda (Greg), Elizabeth (Jeff), Matthew, Randy, David Jr. and Samantha; great-grandchildren Justin, Tyler, Angel, Isaac, Jude, Shiraz, Amelia, Talia, Claire, Amelia, Harper and Nolan. Marjorie was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church and the ACW in Burford, Ontario. Marjorie was one of the founding members of the Ontario Genealogical Society Brant County Branch and a long standing member of the Burford Township Museum. She was involved and recognized by the Association for the Preservation of Ontario Land Registry Office Document. Family meant everything to Marjorie. She was an avid researcher for the family ancestry and was always eager to share her findings. Friends will be received at Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford Friday February 28, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 104 King Street, Burford, on Saturday February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Marjorie’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Church or to St. Joseph’s Life Care.
