Else Krause

Passed away peacefully at Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 1998, infant son Hartmut in 1947, grandson Mark Krause in 2005 and by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Loving mother of Peter Krause (Anita), Martha Markotjohn (Peter) and Ella Turner (Ian). Cherished Oma of Tracy Manes (Barry), Jason Albert (Julie), Trisha Moore-Pringle (Dave), Eric Krause (Shannon) and by 8 great-grandchildren, Laura, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Megan, Brooke, Corvin and Viveka. Loving bonus-Oma of Joshua, Jared, Jonathan and Andrew. Also fondly remembered by Margret and Bill Hunter and by good friend Anneliese Martens. Else, her husband Peter and infant son Peter, emigrated from a displaced person’s camp near Hanover Germany to Steinbach, Manitoba in 1948. A year later, they moved to Hespeler, Ontario to build a life and family. The family invite friends and family on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, for a gathering from 1pm to 2pm, followed by a service celebrating Else’ life at 2pm followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cambridge Humane Society or to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
