Margaret Drost

DROST, Margaret M. (nee McInnes) passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Freeport Hospital. She was born July 1st, 1930 in Johnstone Scotland. Predeceased by her husband George (1986), companion Harry Prior (2004), son George (2007), great grandson Adam in infancy (2004) and daughter-in-law Laurie (2008). Margaret is survived by daughters Elizabeth Porteous (JoAnne), Marie Chora (John), Valerie Evens (Terry), Shirley Gowing (Mark) and sons Gary (Cathie), and Dennis (Trudy). She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Margaret retired as a Custodian from the WRCSS Board in 1995. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary as well as a past Associate Member of Branch 126, Royal Canadian Legion. At Margaret’s request, there will be no funeral or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Special thanks have been shared personally by Margaret and her family in the past weeks. In Margaret’s memory, donations made to the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
