Her family announces with sorrow her passing at the Health Sciences North in Sudbury on December 1st, 2012 in her 89 year of life. Vicky was the first War Bride to arrive in Iroquois Falls and was the Beloved wife of the late Alexander Smith. She was the Dearest mother of Robert (Mary Lee) Smith of Deep River, Richard (Leslie) Smith of London, Christine (Terence) Stitt of Iroquois Falls, Michael (Linda) Smith of Iroquois Falls, Alexis (Claude) Brousseau of Iroquois Falls and Andrew (Nathalie) Smith of Iroquois Falls, Cherished Nanny of Joel (Chrissy), Devin (Andrea), Taryne (Kerry), Tracy (Christopher), Trevor, Tyler (Amanda), Julie (Riley), Ian (Tanya), Nathan, Jessie (Kenny), Alexander, Heather, Mario, Paul and Emilie-Marie, great-grandmother of Rylee, Joshua, Avery, Ethan, Paige, Chloe, Emmah and Archer. She is also survived by numerous relatives in England and Australia.

Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls, on Wednesday December 5th, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Phelan Scanlon at St-Mark’s Anglican Church, 20 Anson Drive, Iroquois Falls on Thursday December 6th, 2012 at 11 am, followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion in Iroquois Falls.
