Obituary for Robert Wiiliam Veitch

In loving memory of
Mr. Robert William Veitch
1926 – 2012

It is with great sorrow that his family announces his passing on Wednesday March 14th, 2012 at the Anson General Hospital, Iroquois Falls, at the age of 85, He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan Veitch (nee Hetherington), his children Edith (Fern), Nancy, Susan, Laura (Stuart) and Brian (Lisette), 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his sister Charlotte, he will also be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Amalia Veitch, his brothers David, Ken, John and Purnis, his sisters Margaret and Agnes.

Visitations will be held at the Matheson Gospel Chapel, 294, 2nd, Avenue in Matheson on Friday March 16th, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral service will be celebrated in the Matheson Gospel Chapel on Saturday March 17th, 2012 at 11 am with Pastor Keith Edwards officiating, reception to follow in the Chapel Reception Hall. Mr. Veitch will be laid to rest in the spring at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Matheson.

Mr. Veitch was a lifelong farmer in the area, he was known for his veterinary skills. He also worked at several area mines and will be remembered for the 10 years he worked at the Matheson Arena.
