Audrey Leban

Leban, Audrey (nee Howie) – peacefully passed away on June 16, 2017 at Bayhaven Nursing home in Collingwood in her 80th year. Audrey was the daughter of her late parents, Wanita and Percy. Beloved wife of Karel and mother of Sonja (Jim). Audrey was a cherished Nan to Karla (Jay), Candice (Adam) and Jimmy (Lily) and great grandmother to Bronson, Nora and Marin. Fondly remembered by Verna Howie, sisters Pam and Kate, brothers Gerald and Glen and families. Raised in Collingwood, she moved to Toronto as a young woman where she met Karel through mutual friends at a dance. The couple welcomed their daughter Sonja and returned to Collingwood in 1973. Audrey leaves behind many friends and neighbors on Brock Crescent who will miss her for cups of tea on her porch. The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Young for her many years of excellent care, as well as the staff of St. Elizabeth’s Home Care. A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church hall on June 29th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. For those that wish to make a donation as an expression of sympathy, please consider the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
