LALONDE, Percy – At his residence on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Percy Rolland Lalonde of Carleton Street; age 79 years. Adored husband and best friend for 51 years of Amelia (Snider) Lalonde. Loving father of Kim Lamarche (Ray), Sandy Wood (David) and Randy Lalonde all of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Brittney, Shane, Sara, Bronson, Jordan and Brooke. Dear son of the late William Lalonde and the late Marie Louise (Barry) Lalonde. Dear brother of Herb Lalonde (late Dorothy) of Ottawa, Pauline Courville (Claude) of Cornwall and Ada Antwine (late James) of Massena, NY. Predeceased by Gerald Lalonde (Theresa), Everett Lalonde (Madeleine), George Lalonde (late Cecile), James Lalonde, Daniel Lalonde (late Rose) (late Donalda), Evelyn Chausse, Mamie Hart (late Alcide) and Lillian Decaire (late Dave). Will be sadly missed by a dear friend, Herbie Hewitson and by many nieces and nephews. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday, January 2, 2009 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Columban’s Church at 10 a.m. followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of Funeral on Friday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
