With great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Grootenboer (nee Commanda-Jocko), of Pembroke, Ontario, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Monday, April 13, 2020, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Grootenboer, daughter Francine and is survived by daughter Deborah, son Michael (Lisa), and son Neil (Mary) and their respective families. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her 2nd partner of 21 years, Percy Schoenfeldt, his son Kevin (Janet), and daughter Karen (Ray) and their respective families. Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Evelyn, Theresa, and Irene and brothers August, the late Edward, Howard and Randy and their respective families. To honour Elizabeth’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, Pikwakanagan at a later date.
